The Heydnbruck Infantry Regiment Painting Progresses.

Two thirds of the Heydnbruck regiment are now complete, hopefully the last company plus the Colonel and two officers will be finished this week.
Italeri AWI French painted in the colours of Altstein.
I really like these figures the detail is good and most poses are usable.
Painting is basic toy style as usual with a minimum of highlighting, I find that with the details in scale and not exaggerated as with 28mm models, belts are very hard to follow so there is some guesswork involved with them. It's best not to fuss too much and it's quite liberating to paint in this style.

Two full regiments after this, a light cavalry regiment, some light infantry and maybe more battalion guns to go and I'll be ready for the 1750 campaign. Can't wait!.

  4. When I started with plastics I wasn't too sure about the kneeling figures. I have to admit though two ranks of firing figures like these look the business.

  5. Yeah,it would be great if these plastics came in a box of 48 march attack pose plus the officers etc. But I find I don't mind them with mixed poses and the unit above is probably my favourite. After all I'm working on a very tight budget so beggars can't be choosers.
Well I'm off to put another couple of colours on the last company.
    Thanks for all your comments,
    Paul.
